This is North Cape Yacht Club

North Cape Yacht Club, located on the western shore of Lake Erie, is a family oriented club with a very active membership. It has promoted the sport of sailing, the love of the water and recognized the importance of the boating community for the past 52 years. A member of AYC, ILYA and most recently DRYA, we would like to extend an invitation and warm welcome to you and your family. Please come visit us here at NCYC, meet the members and enjoy the facilities here at the club.

NCYC offers an excellent variety of activities for the membership. Although much of the focus is on sailboat racing, both large and small boats, we also have a very active cruising fleet. Whether you are a seasoned sailor or a novice just looking to get into the sport, North Cape Yacht Club is the place to be. The North Cape Sailing School is unsurpassed in offering beginning and intermediate level on the water sailing courses for adult sailors. We also have a very competitive junior program and offer an Advanced Race Clinic for those juniors looking to hone their skills to an elite level.

North Cape YC hosts national and international level championship regattas, Wednesday Night "round the buoys" races and weekend AYC and ILYA races. For the pleasure sailor, the Cruising Fleet offers several scheduled club cruises visiting numerous ports of call throughout the Great Lakes. We also have a great social and entertainment package, including movie nights, spring seminar series on nautical topics, a knitting group, informal potlucks gatherings and many shore-side regatta events. North Cape Yacht Club is a volunteer organization, run by members who are committed to promoting the art of sailing and dedicated to maintaining the club for many future generations of sailors and members. A club that is rich in tradition and family values, NCYC continues to reflect the ideals of its founding members; family, community and the pursuit of happiness through sailing.
